Welcome! I’m Erin, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m honored to support you as you learn more about your child’s development. Whether you’re looking for guidance, resources, or a place that truly values and respects your child’s unique strengths, you’ve come to the right place.
Our approach is respectful, inclusive, and grounded in evidence-based support that celebrates each child’s individual path. This website is the product of our dedication to supporting families seeking autism early intervention support, guidance on toddler delayed speech development, and resources for virtual infant development consults.
As a committed advocate for children’s well-being, I’ve created this platform to provide resources and guidance tailored specifically to your family’s needs.
Navigating the journey of early intervention can be overwhelming. Whether you’re seeking advice, information, or support, you’ll find it here. From communication milestones to practical strategies and support for autism delayed speech development, I am dedicated to empowering you every step of the way.
About Dr. Erin Michaud, SLP BCBA
I earned my bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and then completed a master’s degree program in speech-language pathology. After graduating, I was fortunate to be hired as a speech-language pathologist at a world-renowned school for children with autism that provides services based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). This was my first exposure to ABA, and I witnessed how effective these teaching methods were at promoting overall development.
To better serve my students, I completed the specialized coursework needed to become a BCBA. I pursued further studies and earned a PhD in behavior analysis, specializing in naturalistic treatment strategies. Drawing from my background in speech-language pathology and behavior analysis, I’ve developed a comprehensive approach aimed at nurturing the development of children through naturalistic strategies and specialize in the areas of early language, infant development, communication delays, and autism early intervention support.
Supporting Your Child’s Developmental Journey
Drawing on my multidisciplinary background, I empower caregivers with the knowledge to help their young children reach their full potential. Working closely with families in their homes has helped me appreciate the vital role caregivers play as part of the child’s intervention team. Since most early intervention takes place at home, educating caregivers has become integral to my treatment approach, especially for those wondering when to worry about their baby not talking or needing help with toddler delayed speech development.
Helping Caregivers Support Their Child’s Development
Caregivers are often unsure about where to turn for support regarding their child’s development. Our goal is to provide families with the knowledge they need for concerns such as:
- Curiosity about your child’s communication and social milestones
- Uncertainty about how to begin seeking early intervention services
- Your child being on a waitlist for evaluation or treatment
- Concerns about receiving adequate support
- Seeking parent-implemented strategies at home
- Questions about autism, delayed speech development, or related signs
If you’re interested in working together or want to better understand how to support your child, I offer a 30-minute virtual development consultation as well as custom consultation options based on your needs. You can learn about both here.
